"डांडा नागराजा मंदिर: गढ़वाल की आस्था का अद्वितीय केंद्र"

 

डांडा नागराजा मंदिर, जो गढ़वाल के पौराणिक और आध्यात्मिक इतिहास में एक महत्वपूर्ण स्थान रखता है, भगवान नागराज को समर्पित है। यह मंदिर न केवल भक्तों के लिए श्रद्धा का प्रतीक है, बल्कि गढ़वाल की समृद्ध सांस्कृतिक धरोहर और लोककथाओं का अद्भुत प्रतिबिंब भी है।

मान्यता के अनुसार 140 वर्ष पहले लसेरा में गुमाल जाति के पास एक दुधारू गाय थी , जो डांडा में स्थित एक पत्थर पर हर दिन अपने दूध से निल्हाती थी , जिसकी वजह से घर के लोगों को उसका दूध नहीं मिल पाता था इसलिए गुस्से में आकर गाय के मालिक ने गाय के ऊपर कुल्हाड़ी से वार किया | मगर कुल्हाड़ी का वार गाय को कुछ नहीं कर पाया और कुल्हाड़ी का वार सीधा जाकर उस पत्थर पर लगा जिसे गाय दूध से निल्हाती थी | कुल्हाड़ी के वार से वह पत्थर दो भागों में टूट गया और इसका एक भाग आज भी डांडा नागराजा में मौजूद है। इस क्रूर घटना के बाद गुमाल जाति पूरी तरह से समाप्त हो गई  पौड़ी गढ़वाल शहर से लगभग 45  किमी० की दुरी पर अदवानी – बगानीखाल मार्ग पर स्थित है 

 पौड़ी जिले के कोट ब्लॉक के बनेलस्यूं पट्टी स्थित डांडा नागराजा मंदिर में डांडा नागराजा मेला धूमधाम के साथ मनाया गया. मान्यता है कि भगवान श्रीकृष्ण यहां नाग रूप में पूजे जाते हैं. बड़ी संख्या में दूरदराज से भक्त भगवान के दर्शन करने यहां आते हैं.

Danda nagraja temple is  a popular religious site of Pauri garhwal  region around Lansdowne region of Uttarakhand state.

A huge crowd of devotees throng this place from nearby and  far off places to offer Prayer and offerings to lord krishna who resides here this temple is situated on the Top of the hill,34 km away from Pauri . it is said that whoever comes to the temple And workship with full faith,lord krishna fulfills all  his wishes..

Architecture:-

This temple is built in the traditional Garhwali style of architecture,with a stoping roof and intricate carving on the wooden beams. This wall made on stone,and the entrance is adorned with a beautiful wooden.

This temple complex also includes a  small shrine decited to lord shiva.

Festivals:-

The temple is visited by thousand of devotees

 every year,especially during the festival of naag Panchami which is celebrated in honor of lord nagraja during the festival,devotees offer milk ,flower and sweets to the deity and perform a special pooja to seek his blessing.People offer this pooja or bell when their wishes are fulfilled.
